Do you have a basement? I'm assuming no greenhouse or you wouldn't be asking. The banana and the canna will go dormant. The others don't want to live in the dry atmosphere of the house. I used to keep my gingers in the walk-out basement with some natural light and some artificial. Couldn't keep the sea grape alive. Don't know anything about the hibiscus or jasmine, I've grown those only in Florida.

I keep my spiral ginger going all winter indoors, though my indoor conditions probably aren't the "average" found in most northern homes, since I do keep my house on the warm side in the seventies and the humidity isn't the bone dry atmosphere found in many homes during thw winter with central heating, and the many plants I have keep the relative humdity up and I supplement that with water on top of the space heater evaporating. My biggest problem is adequate light , though a couple of overhead gro-lites supplent that somewhat. My new growth during the winter can be a bit leggy , so not likely to bloom. However not all ginger may be as forgiving obviously, and I've found my lobster claw still hates my growing conditons even with somewhat warm temperatures etc. and just dies back all winter, looking dreadful come spring time. I do get the odd blooms about midwinter on my Costus barbatus , though it's much to big a grower for my low ceilings!
