My main promise is always that this year, I'll do a much better job of keeping the beds weeded than I did last year.

It's really my least favorite thing to do, but I think I have done better this year. Still sometimes, I'll walk past a patch of weeds and say "I'll get to those tomorrow".

My promise was that I would NOT maintain a pot ghetto. I would not buy any plants unless I had the time to plant them and a place to put them. I would not submit to the temptation of gorgeous colorful blooms shouting "take me home!"

I haven't kept my promise. But I'm a happy gardener!

Well my new promise (for next year I guess) is to not buy things for areas or beds that I haven't even started yet! I am always seeing things that I want for future projects and buying them, so therefore adding to my "pot ghetto" Thank you Twinkle for that clever name for my mess on the side of my house.
