I threatened to get rid of this plant and somehow it knew! I have a white butterfly ginger, purchased 2 summers ago. It did great the first summer. Last summer, no blooms. This summer, I babied and babied it but told it in no uncertain terms that if it did not bloom this year it was going to another home! (I don't have any place to put it in the ground so it is in a large pot...which I think is part of the problem.) So, here we are in the middle of October..time to be thinking about preparing for winter, and what does it do? It has three blooms. Not enough for a stunning show, but just enough heavenly scent to make me want to try again next year. How did it know??? LOL!
