Sounds like you are looking for bamboo POLES and not bamboo PLANTS. The poles are available inexpensively at any Pikes, Lowes or Home Depot. They come in several different sizes.

We have plenty of bamboo growing in the corner of our back yard thanks to our neighbor planting it quite a few years ago in their yard. It is very invasive and we are always cutting it down. You are welcome to come and cut some down if you like. We are in Marietta.

I would love to get some of those bamboo poles to dry and use in my garden so my beans can have something to cling to. Please email at vkhenry@bellsouth.net

There is a subdivision I remember seeing on McGinnis Ferry rd in alpharetta with bamboo out front that looks like it's either getting or is out of control. I can't remember exactly where it is but somewhere to the west of Johns creek/ Ptree pkwy. MAybe there's some there that you could get.
