Do you have a pressure regulator installed? That is the only thing I can think of that would be causing the problem.

There are two things to consider. One is water pressure and the other is rate of flow. If your water supply (city or other) has constant pressure, you should be able to solve the problem by adjusting the rate of flow so that you get a slow consistent drip without blowing the connections. Trial and error is really the only way I know to determine how far to open a water supply valve. I have found that anything more than 1/8 turn of opening from the faucet connected to our drip hoses will blow the connections. If you have well water, pressure can vary considerably depending on your pump and a pressure regulator is probably the only way to solve the problem. If you have a city water supply the pressure "should" be fairly constant.

I hope this helps. I had a similar problem that I found could be solved by adjusting the rate of flow. With the valve slightly open, it can take minutes for the water supply to reach the end of longer drip hoses and then start dripping.

I don't have a pressure regulator installed, but I could turn the flow down at the main valve. I'll try that tomorrow and see what happens. Part of the problem is that I put in those sprinkers and wanted enough pressure for them to spin and cover the area. Had the rain today, thank goodness, so I'll try again tomorrow.
