Hey Mathew; The USDA/GRIN is the only place I know of that lists this cultivar.
The asscencion # is PI 550689 It is a C. moschata. It is the squash plant that the first "butternut" squash came from. http://www.ars-grin.gov/npgs/acc_queries.html
Also this is a Govt. seedbank. My advice is to go onto their website and spend a couple of hours reading everything regarding "germplasm. After reading the entire site you will have all the information that is requirred to order and receive seeds.
There are a few nay-sayers here that will tell you that this is closed but it's not. This is probably where Amy G. got her seeds as well.

Hey Macmex. FYI the Eastern Native Seed Exchange has been CLOSED for several years. There is a disclaimer on the site of ENSC that states that they aren't sending seeds and can't refund any money sent in ordering. Just so you know.

Thanks Zebraman. I'm not quite sure if that is so. But it might be. I went back and examined their site without finding that disclaimer. Back in 2006 I remember it. Now they list prices, etc. Though, on the other hand, their "ordering tab" is not functioning.

Thanks for all the tips. I found the listing on the USDA page, but I needed to list what research project I intended to use it for. I'm basically a novice and I didn't want to risk any of the few remaining examples of the seed!

I'm going to try regular old "early summer crookneck" this year, I think. But I'll keep my eyes peeled for a good source for Canada Crookneck.

Just keep in mind that early summer crookneck is a summer squash to be used when immature, like zucchini. Canada Crookneck is a winter squash, best used mature (orange flesh). You might consider Trombocino Rampicante, which would be usable both ways and somewhat similar to the Canada Crookneck. Sandhill Preservation Center carries it.
