Groundcover without bees?

I live in Southern California and I have a slope that I am looking to plant a groundcover on. It is roughly sixty feet across and about ten feet in slope distance. My fiance is terrified of bees. I don't mind bees but I do not want to get a groundcover that attracts hundreds of bees. I have talked with a local nursery and they mentioned that certain groundcovers attract more and some attract less. I know I will always have some bees but does anyone have a suggestion? I like Purple Wintercreeper but not sure if that is going to work. Thank you, David.
