Lamium, another dying question

I read the thread on "Is my Lamium Dying" but I'm still not sure what to do with a patch of lamium has now turned entirely brown. It's a few square feet of space, with surrounding lamium that seems OK. It's as if something wiped it out over only a two week period. I looked to see if there is any green growth underneath but I can't tell. Any ideas?

Have you had it for awhile and it has been ok? I read that Lamium is hardy up to z8 maybe 9. If you are in z10 then perhaps it is burnt out by heat? It needs moisture and shade from what I know. I didn't read the other post though. This just popped into my head as a possibility.
