Hello, I am new to landscaping and I am hung up on how to plant my small but potentially lovely patio. My problem is 2 corner trees that are great...but what to plant under them that won't be disrupted or abused come fall when the leaves and small limbs shed and raking them up is a must. Most of the area is paved brick with the 2 trees having some surface roots and hardened packed dirt with this area approx. 5ft X 7ft. I will probably mulch around them but I would love to have some various flowers or foliage or any type of plants for interest! Thanks for any input.
