Soil preporation for Pachysandra

In an area at the base of a large oak tree which I just had cut down,(I could't keep up with volume of leaves and acorns every year), I had ivy growing there as ground covering.I removed the ivy and I want to plant Pachysandra. Is there any soil preperation I need to know before I start planting?
