Drying flowers, etc.

My daughter's friend is having a September wedding and she is hoping I can supply her with flowers. To add to the difficulty of coming up with pretty blooms in September, she wants to stick to blues, purples, white. I have a lot of flowers, but I don't know what I am going to have in September that she would be able to use. I am going to dry some hydrangeas. A friend recommended putting them in the trunk of my car during hot days. Recommendations? What could I plant now? What dries well? Help
