Ornamental Grass

Need some silvery ideas

I want to plant two low growing grasses, one on either side of my brick pathway. I'm looking for something that grows about 3' wide/high and has silver foliage. I've been doing a lot of searches, but have yet found anything that tickles my fancy. Silver sedge comes pretty close.

The grasses will be planted next to Nepeta 'Kit Kat', boxwoods and several different varieties of roses.

Any suggestions??

Many grasses are either taller than that at maturity or shorter, such as blue fescue. One I can suggest is Blue Oat grass, Helictotrichon sempervirens. It meets your requirements, easy to grow and a nice slivery blue color.

Elymus arenarius. Very drought tolerant, spiky and silvery.

Good suggestions. I'll add Carex Ice Dance, Carex Blue Zinger, and Miscanthus Little Kitten (all are zone 5).
