Yes...they would prefer full sun.

I have a piece of Mone's Yaku Jima also. It's still in a pot, but will be installed as soon as I see if it survived winter.

Which one is taller? What will be their height in September? I need this info so I can decide where to plant them.

'Yaku Jima' will be a bit taller. Foliage to 50" and blooms to 60". It blooms earlier, too...~August.

'Morning Light' is 40" in foliage and 60" in blooms, and it blooms in ~September.

These heights are always dependent upon conditions, as is bloom time.

I'd say it will. Every Miscanthus I've transplanted or divided and transplanted has bloomed in it's next bloom season. It's usually a fairly sparse bloom, compared to an established plant.
