My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.
Our house is 2 blocks from atlantic ocean in NJ. I want groundcover for the backyard under a tall and (ugly looking) evergreen tree. A landscaper suggested pachysandra
but I have never seen this at the shore. I am doubtful it will thrive. It gets so hot and dry there, and I cannot water regularly. Is there a better (easier) groundcover?
I once owned a property on the land side of the bay, in NJ. I planted blue rug juniper in the sandy, acid soil and never watered. It thrived. Along the sandy, unpaved roads in the pine barrens, Arctostaphylos ova-ursi(bearberry) thrives and really can be damaged by fertilizing. Both would only do well with at least a half day of sun and shade from tree branches that are very high. Neither is very tolerant of being stepped on, so pavers or stepping stones would be needed with any traffic.
