what kind of pumkin?

I have grown pumpkins and cucumbers in pots as well as tomatoes, pole beans, and peppers.

The biggest thing with successfully growing vegetables in pots is that they need BIG pots. I used some big pots I had leftover from some arborvitaes I planted. Also important is to mulch because the soil in the pots will dry out faster than the soil in the yard.

Also importantly, I regularly fertilize my vegetable plants in pots because they cannot access regular nutrients that would normally be in garden soil. They can't just extend their roots to get more nutrients.
