This won't be a comprehensive critique but did want to add a bit. sugar hill and I went to the Hatchery and collected buckets of the trout manure. BTW, odor was negligible. Have discovered that this stuff was home to a huge crop of crabgrass seed. Discovered this by adding it to some MiracleGro soil mix to start cosmos seeds. Oops!

Had distributed some around other seedlings, a different cosmos. They are well mulched so haven't seen much CG coming up and the plants are huge and happy.

The remainder I've placed in a black plastic bag with some added cow manure. It's heating up and I see lots of evidence of CG trying to sprout.

Later in the season, I'll try to use this in some controlled trials and report back.
