Thanks so much! My corn has tassles but I haven't seen any silks yet so I'm happy to find a pic to make sure I'm looking for the right thing!

During my morning inspection of the garden, something gray caught my eye in the corn and I got all excited thinking it might be silks starting to form. Pulled back a leaf and just about had a heart attack when I found this guy looking at me! He was about 6 feet off the ground! Frogs eat bugs so as far as I'm concerned, he's welcome in my garden. I just wish he'd get whatever's sucking the life out of my cukes!

woke up to find one little "hairball" on my corn this morning...finally! Tried to pollinate it your way. It was a little messier than I expected. My hands were sweaty so I'm not sure how much pollen actually made it to the silks but that powder was everywhere...I was sneezing like crazy so maybe it really didn't need my help. Hopefully there will be many more opportunities in the coming days...I've got about 16 stalks so I'll be kind of bummed if I just end up with one ear of corn!

Great picture of that frog, I had a similar experience in my zucchini. Joker scared me to death too.
