I live in Offerman Ga. I moved here from CT last june and have started some gardens but I am still researching what will tollorate the heat and soil conditions. I only have some rose bushes to trade as the last owner of this house planted many all over the yard. let me know when the swap will be.

Fishermanpauljl, I don't have that much either! I just move here a year ago the last owner had nothing in the yard. Not even real grass. I think we have decided to make it a get-together and a swap. If you don't have plants maybe you have old tools, gardening mags, books, etc... If not, don't worry. It is to be about having fun, meeting new people, and learning about what works well in our area. I haven't put all of the final details together yet. We are trying to decide on a central location for everyone to meet. I will be posting information on the Get-Togethers Forum. The plant swap and get-together is now scheduled! We will even be having a guest speaker, Gail Lutoswski the director of the Warnell Forest Education Center.
Date: November 4th, 2006
Time: 11am thru 3pm
Place: Mary Kahrs Warnell Forest Education Center, 5960 Highway 17 South, Guyton, GA.

We will be holding the event at the outdoor classroom, a large deck with semi circular bench seating and a fireplace. The facility has an indoor classroom that will seat 50 in inclement weather. Directions:

From I-95: Exit at Exit 102 in Pooler. Go West on Hwy 80 to Faulkville. Turn right on Highway 17 going North. Go 3 miles and look for our sign on the left!

From I-16: Exit at Exit 152. Go North on Highway 17 until it intersects Highway 80. Turn left on Highway 80. In Faulkville, turn right on Highway 17 going North. Go 3 miles and look for our sign on the left!
