Hand digging, Preen or another pre-emergent and a grass herbicide are all you can do. There are no vinca saving broad leaf or broad spectrum herbicides. Grass herbicides would be safe, but your weeds are broad-leaved.

A pre-emergent will help some, keeping new things from germinating. I've had very spotty luck with them this year, however. I guess it would have been worse had I not put it down.

I'll try the Preen. The Sorrel has put out tons of seeds. I never had the sorrel problem before. I got this infestation from a nursery plant that had a cut little sword like plant on it. I assumed that it would be smothered, but I was soooo wrong.

I had a large area of irish and scotish moss which is now beinging endated with clover and quack grass. How can I get rid of them without pulling up all of the moss?
Some of the moss has been turned to dry moss mounds. Should I get rid of them or use them as a mulch?
