You should do fine. We just planted our last round of the plants here in Atlanta a week or two ago.

Not only can you plant new plants, you can start new plants from suckers off your existing plants. (the little shoots in the axil -- between the main stem and the side stems) Pinch them out and put in some potting soil or rooting medium of some kind in the shade to start. When roots form, harden them off in the sun and plant.

I actually just planted my 2nd crop the other day. I actually just cut off one of the "branches," and stick it in a jar of water in a semi-shady area. After about a week or so, it starts rooting and I just plant it like a bare root.

That does it! I'm buying enough fence to finish enclosing my garden and planting more tomatoes. Thanks to the blasted rabbit, I haven't gotten a single one. The rabbit doesn't just pick the tomatoes, it takes the whole plant. Peppers and eggplants, too.

Scotland, not sure what kind of fencing you're using, but keep in mind those little bunnies can flatten like a pancake and squeeze in some tight spots.
