Hello, I just installed a stepping stone decomposed granite path (about 3"-4" thick). I want to plant some ground cover in the path to break up the stepping stones. Do I just dig a couple of inches down and plant ground cover in the decomposed granite? Do I dig a few inches and add some compost first in the whole before planting the ground cover?
