I saw a few yesterday. I think the cool wet weather is keeping them away.

Saw a few Sulphurs earlier this year and see an occasional Cabbage White, but none others. Left the clover blooming in my lawn for them, until forced to cut it(domestic edict!) and my Butterfly bushes and lots of other plants are in bloom, but no Butterfly's. Some years go bye and I never see one, other time's they seem to swarm around here. Suppose the weather has a lot to do with their activity and productivity.

When I moved into my house and first planted butterfly bushes it took the butterflies a couple of years to really start hanging out at my place. I have 11 large butterfly bushes now and they really draw them every year.

The butterflies did noticeably drop off after that late spring freeze this year though. I remember counting 13 big butterflies covering 3 clumps of creeping phlox just before the freeze and afterward it took them weeks to start showing up again. Still haven't seen that many all at once this year since.

I too, have noticed a decrease in butterfly sightings. I saw only two this year so far. There are usually so many on my lantana bush, they are hard to count.

Hopefully, we will see more soon...I found 3 Swallowtail catapillars on my parsley yesterday.

I have a Monarch! I think it's a newly hatched one, it was opening and closing it's wings slowly while hanging upside down on one of my roses.

I'm starting to see more butterflies. I saw another monarch, some Eastern Swallowtails and even a Gulf Frit catepillar munching away on my passion vine. Also a lot of little skippers going around.

i think they were all in my garden today! There were about ten on one butterfly bush and lots of others all over the garden. hope you are all seeing them too.

Gradually seeing more butterflies but nothing like last year when we had hundreds all over the garden, also noticed a depletion in the number of box turtles wandering around the neighborhood. Wondering if the extra cold snap this last winter took them out during hibernation.
