You can easily pot it up, just letting runners dangle over sides and spread out. Might be a good way to foil the gophers, having roots in a low pot. Also easy from cuttings. Would laying chicken wire over ground and letting the Dichondra grow up through it help from digging aboveground? Or form a chickenwire "basket" in ground to plant in as folks sometimes do for bulb protection from rodents. Good luck...I love this plant too. josh
