Very simple.. you'll see a baby pumpkin at the bottom of a female flower. It will look like a little knob.

On the male flower, its just a skinny stem at the bottom, no fruit. A majority of flowers are male (the ones without fruit). It's always a waiting game for the female flowers to come out.

I know this is an old post, thought I would use it to have my first hand at posting pics.

Sid, I use BBCodeXtra, a free Firefox add-on. I don't know if it works with the newer Firefox; I'm using 3.6.20.
Right-click on the url; select "xhtmlXtra" on this forum, then select "url." Also does italics, underlinings, images, other stuff.

You always have the option to paste a single url into the "Optional Link URL" box below the "Message" box; I don't remember if you must also put something in the Name of the Link box for it to work. Obviously this only lets you use one link per post.

Any links should work in Preview Message; if they don't work there, they won't work in the actual post. Same thing if you want the images to show up in the posts.

DUH -- you wanted images rather than links. Well, that's why I have this user-name.

Missing, I'm missing the obvious still not being able to figure out how to post my pics! Wish there was a practice area to do so or be able to delete your post once it is published.

To post a photo, you can also (I think) simply add this before the photo's url:

and this after the photo's url:

EXCEPT THAT: instead of the parentheses I used at the beginning and end, use the "less than" symbol (at the beginning) and the "greater than" symbol (at the end). You can find those two symbols above the comma and period. [If I use those symbols in the examples, the site thinks I'm trying to post a photo and nothing appears except a broken-image symbol, so I used the parentheses instead.]

It is necessary to skip the spaces as I did in the examples.
