Pumpkins, Squash & Gourds

New to gourd growing

and I think I have found my calling.lol. These pics were taken about two months ago, so have many more now, hiding here and there. My husband stacked old tractor tires by a leaning corral fence, filled them with composted manure and I planted the seeds in one of them. They have spread to both sides of the fence, running along the ground and heading for my clotheline. Now that I have found I could grow these, I will try for more next year.

How pretty! I'd say you're definitely on your way to becoming a bonafide gourdaholic!!! Keep posting here to let us know how many gourds you're finding as the vines die off.

Donna, I can't believe this is your first year too! Only, we were going to put up cattle panels........and didn't. So, now mine are sprawled all over the ground, but I do have these same gourds and a couple of smaller ones. Now, I have to find out how to cure them and make bird houses out of them.

I did some weeding in the patch yesterday and unfortunately cut the squash vines here and there. Hope I didn't ruin all of them.
