they like it wet. the name itself, loblolly, suggests something that would grow in a growing in a pocosin or swamp area.
i would try to provide conditions like that until it is better established or move it to an area that stays wet.
i have a small one and it does not seem to be growing very fast but it is not really well-established yet.
