I would say just about any kind except the mission type that need to be pollinated by a wasp that lives in California. Consider Brown Turkey, Celeste and LSU Purple.

I'm about to rip a fig tree out of my yard. It produces well but they seem tasteless to me. I don't know if its where it is sited or if its the variety, nero ceasar, but its not worth its space.

You can't go wrong with a Brown Turkey.

Snoogie, figs are tasteless this year due to excess rainfall. Same with tomatoes in my garden.

Ohh, our figs a church taste like CANDY this year, they've done better for the rain, but then again, they are up-hill.
