Swan gourds need to grow on the ground. Growing them on a fence or trellis forces the necks to be straight, due to the weight of the gourd.
As it is, you could probably call it an Indonesian Bottle gourd, and craft it as a bird house or a decorative bottle.
Never give up, there's always another approach.
