What a haul!

Went up to Growers Outlet early this AM and they had just unloaded the first of 3 trailer loads of distressed merchandise they purchased from an AL nursery.

Lots of unusual plants and so cheap I couldn't resist buying too much! Thought I was going to have to leave DH there and come back after unloading.

There is a list of plants that was in the shipment on their website.

They also had just added some new varieties of Hosta

and a new variety(color) of Mums

I guess all of these plants will have to go into the garage, where I can keep them watered, until the rains return to Georgia.

Went there Saturday also. Guess I missed you, as I didn't see anyone with a load of the specials. Most people I saw there, were asking; What is this?
Purchased a number of the Pitcher Plants and Nodding Lady's Tresses, Rain lily's and Selaginella species.
Found the Osmanthus 'Goshiki' and decided to try a couple of them. They grow so slowly that I will probably never see them mature.
Like you, will have to try keeping them alive, until the rains return.

Oh, darn. I almost went there yesterday as I'm seldom that far south but decided it was too far sideways. I wanted to see if they had some Hoogendorn hollies but would have been delighted to go home with a sweep of rainlilies, of which I still have absolutely none.

RB, are you a woman with long, dark hair?

I was also there yesterday buying up the shrubs for a landscaping project. Bought Lady's Tresses too! That was a nice "plus" since I killed some I paid good money for several years ago.

Very nice azalea selection and your choice of large or smaller shrubs. I could have gone back again to buy more, but the car was full!

I went to Pikes today and got some stuff on clearance. Daylillies for $3 with at least 4 stalks in each pot. And some other perennials.

Sorry, that must have been someone else, stocking up on some of the specials! My hair is short and gray(prematurely, I tell everyone)! I would have recognized you and said Hello. We've never met, but have seen you at the SEFS.
Did you check out the Hostas? They were from the shipment and there were some choice cultivars available. (Guacamole, Abiqua Drinking Gourd, Patriot, Twilight, Liberty, Carousel, Queen Josephine and probably others I didn't see)They were terribly rootbound, but will be fine, once repotted or planted.
BTW, the Nodding Ladies Tresses(Spiranthes cernua) is a wetland plant and requires constant moisture and sun(I found out the hard way) and you may see blooms next month, if they are mature enough.
