Re-pot grasses being over-wintered now?

I am ordering about 20 grasses that I plan to over-winter by "planting" the pot, waiting until spring to plant the plant (I have a huge, sand-filled area I can do this). They will all be coming in small pots, maybe 3x5 or so. Would it be ok to re-pot those now into larger nursery pots I've saved up? If so, any particular soil mix I should use? Thanks! I am so excited about these grasses. We have about 4 acres of land, and more of it was cleared than I would have liked. My plan is to, in time, fill large areas with masses of grass to reduce the areas we need to mow and to make it look more natural.
