Pumpkins, Squash & Gourds

ornamental gourds all green

Hi,

My first time here ( I hang out in the hosta garden). I bought a package of ornamental gourds this spring hoping for lots of different shapes and colors. Turns out that all but 2 or 3 are all green. I thought perhaps they were still immature, but the vines are now dead.

Is this the result of cheap seeds or luck of the draw?

Oh, Hal, I hate it when that happens.......bummer!
And, yes, it is the luck of the draw and cheap seeds.
Better luck next year.
You might try ordering seeds on line from seed dealers that actually show pictures of what the ornamentals should look like.
