Funny, I just bought some today and it says it needs winter chill to bloom so be patient.

Mine bloomed this year,first time as it wasn't in enough sun.Next year it will do much better. Mine seems to enjoy being fed.

sometimes in the nursery the plumes will start looking ratty and the stems brake down, we just cut them back so the plant looked neat.your plant will not bloom this year unless it is karl f.brachytricha korean feather reed ,witch blooms in the fall.i hope that helps. Tootall
