Hi Jim,
The way I've dried dippers is to lay them on my deck, any thing should do so long as its off the ground, and let nature take its course. I haven't tried the water/rot method on dippers yet so I don't know how that would work. I have a mess of really big apache dippers this year that I'm going to try the water/rot. If you try that, do only one first to see how it works. The problem is that if they have long handles on them, to find a container big enough to hold them. Good luck and as Rita said, keep us posted.
