I ordered 5 Crape Myrtles back in the early part of 2007 from Ty Ty nurseries over the phone. I had to make over 10 phone calls to even speak with a half way decent person to assist me in ordering these Crape Myrtles. Most of the people I spoke with were very rude and lost my order twice. I finally received my trees and they were delivered to my neighbors house.....thankfully not anywhere else. Anyway, I planted them right away in my front yard. Part of the reason I order from Ty Ty nurseries is because of the great prices. I wanted 2 Miami Crape Myrtles to match my one that I had bought from another nursery down the street for $75 versus Ty Ty low cost of under $12, however you had to place atleast a $50 order with Ty Ty. So I ended up buying 2 Miami's, 2 Biloxi's and 1 Muskogee Crape Myrtles. Because of this year's late freeze in Georiga, my Crape Myrtles have not bloomed until the last part of September this year. Guess what color they are blooming.....WHITE. Helllooo! The color of the Crape Myrtle's I ordered was Pink and Purple. They even put white tags on the trees to show the name but was hand written. Needless to say after the HELL they put me through with thier CUSTOMER NO-SERVICE processing the order, I will have to build myself up to call them about a replacement. And then I will not really know if they shipped me the correct things until they bloom again next year. This has taught me a big lesson. Do not buy items from an unfamilar nursery. I believe what they sent me was the Nanchez Crape Myrtle. I could have ordered a Natchez Crape Myrtle for $4.00 from a local 4-H club and have saved tons of money if that is what I wanted. I hesitate about calling them because everyone I spoke with before either sounded like they were half asleep or had an ATTITUDE. WARNING do not shop at this nursery. You will be very disappointed!!! From a VERY UNSATISFIED customer in Dallas, Georgia. GOODBYE $75.00. I am in the process of making a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and found out that there have been over 90+ complaints made this year alone. YIKES! I guess I will always check with the BBB before making anymore purchaces on-line.

Call your credit card company and dispute the charge.
They shot themselves in the foot with hat $50 minimum since that is usually the minimum sale amount you can dispute.

Probably too late to dispute charges on your credit card. Most CC cos. won't accept disputes after 3 billing periods.
You will need to try resolving a dispute directly before filing a report with the BBB or the Governor's Office of Consumer Affairs. Check website below for information about how to proceed with action toward the company, including a sample letter.
Was your shipment accompanied by a green GA Department of Agriculture Plant Inspection tag? Required by the Department's regulations. If not, email Tommy Irvin, Commissioner, at: tirvin@agr.state.ga.us and report failure of proof of inspection. Also, ask for determination of a valid Live Plant Nursery License. They were not listed in the current Book.
Both of the GA Government entities have enforcement powers, the BBB does not.

BTW, Growers Outlet has 3G size CM's for $8 and had 4 colors, in bloom.

It seems that a lot of folks have had trouble with their mail-order service. I know someone who went in-person and was very satisfied.

Better to ask around about an unknown vendor.

I have been to this "nursery" in person - what a mess!
Plants were diseased, over-priced and customer service was a joke! Did NOT buy anything there and do NOT recommend them to anyone else!

Maybe Tommy Irwin will fly over the place in a crop duster and spray herbicide on the entire inventory and then they'd be out of business. Nah, that wouldn't stop them.... They make a living selling dead plants.

It's a wreck and they're notorious for selling crap plants. They even sued dave's garden to get all of the negative reviews yanked.

The only upside: the pictures are great. It's like Abercrombie and Fitch plants.

I'm really curious as to why the State of GA will not put a stop to this company? Or the Postal Inspector? ... or some govt agency.

Could be because selling plants of poor quality and having terrible service is not illegal. In fact it's usually a self correcting problem when customers stop returning. Customer loyalty is a requirement in todays retail garden industries.
My theory is the business in a front for some other illegal activities. Probably drugs. Otherwise they would have been gone long ago. Whoops did I just go making an accusation?

I am not the best at explaining how but in a nutshell, I used the HTML image tag. If you google 'html image tag' you will likely find numerous free tutorials.
