Could it be blueberries?

Maybe high bush blueberries or one of the lionias? There are several and I seem to remember they have blooms like that. (They are related to blueberries, I think.)

Anyone with another ID? Don't think it is a bluberry and can't find anything under lionia. The blossoms were all in a row like Lily of the Valley but they were in a small tree.

hmmm. When I first saw blueberry blossoms I immediately thought lily of the valley. Here are more blueberry pics that show the blossoms in a row. Or you could do a search on "blueberry ash". Maybe that's it.

Could it be Sparkleberry ( Vaccinium Arboreum)? I'm not familiar with it but I enjoy looking plants up in my Florida Native Plant book and this was the best candidate.

I think I misspelled my guess...I believe it's lyonia, perhaps. But sparkleberry is a good guess. Regina, I'll bet that's it. I always get them mixed up with the lyonias. I'm so lousy with trees and bushes! MUST PRACTICE more!

Sure looks like some kind of Vaccinium: Highbush Blueberry, Sparkleberry/Farkleberry, Deerberry, or something like that. It's well past Blueberry bloom time here in the Panhandle, and Farkleberry blooms later in the Spring. So, if the picture is very recent, I might guess that. Still more likely to do so if the plant is much over 10-12' tall (couldn't really tell whether the picture showed all of it). Not familiar with Staggerbush (Lyonia).

Ooops, when I said "I believe it's lyonia" in my last post, I meant, I believe it's SPELLED lyonia. The picture really does look like sparkleberry/farkleberry to me, but again, I STEEEENK at trees and bushes, with a few exceptions that I know well. I really need to get a good field guide for them, and take more walks in the woods!

I have been thinking about this plant. It looks a little like fetterbush to me. I wish I could see a closer pic.
