Thanks A. I guess all miscanthus eventually turn that beige color. I still wish my malepartus had the red plumes. How long does the red last?

The plumes on mine stay 'purple/red' for 2 - 3 weeks max.
The bonus with Malepartus is the lovely orangey tones that the foliage turns - like in your photo.

Now that you figured out how to post pix POST SOME MORE, LOL!!! My Malepartus looks like yours also except the plumes are lighter, more white-ish than beige (to my eye anyhow). Agree that the orangey tones are beautiful. Mine is pretty crowded at the back of the border so I don't notice it much. Couldn't help noticing your castor bean also, LOVE them! Thanks A. I agree about the fall color. The color seems to hit it's peak in the middle of October. I looks great right now. The seedheads have matured and dried up already. We usually have a freeze before that happens.

Juicy-Those plumes are gorgeous. I do plan on posting more pictures soon. My yard is so small that I really don't have much to show. Believe me, if I had more space, I would plant all kinds of different grasses.
