Seeing Jake back on the forum led me to consider the business potential of creating and marketing adult beverages made from ornamental grasses.

Why not? They're full of sugars, proteins and most of the other ingredients in popular alcoholic refreshments. One could easily ferment the fruits of ornamental grasses, and use them either in their raw fermented form, or process them further with distillation, to create all sorts of exotic drinks.
