I'm learning more about fruit. Our most popular apple at work is Honey Crisp and Johnsons in Elijay has it. I have heard Orient pear is a good pear for humidity, so we have that one too (again, from Johnsons).
Stella Cherries do well in the city. Lostman who very occassionally posts to this forum has one, and he has nanking cherry bushes too which are more tart. Birds eat the nanking cherries and leave the Stellas alone! He has pomegranite, the little kiwi, pineapple guava and so much more!
Personally I have 5 groundcover blueberries and 4 different types of figs - the figs are new all but the unnamed one which is good (a purple variety) but not overly sweet. I wanted a more savory type anyway.
Pineapple guava is more shrubby - quite a large dense shrub as is pomegranite so they aren't really tree shaped.
