Native Plants for Wetlands

Hi there! I just moved to Destin from Birmingham, and our property borders a designated wetlands area. I'd love information about native plants to plant along the edge. Anyone with information about plants to use, native nurseries, or even better, plants to share? I'd appreciate any help!

How about Bald Cypress and Sabal minor. Sweet bay magnolia.

Before you start planting, you might want to check out the Florida Native Plant Society. Here is the contact information for Walton and Okaloosa Counties. Good luck!

There are three nurseries that are worth going to. Crestview Nursery, located in Crestview, FL; Native Nurseries, located in Tallahassee, FL; Just Fruits and Exotics, located in Crawfordville, FL, (about 20 miles south of Tallahassee)
