Some of you may have been following the thread where I had been trying to locate Nancy Carithers, known to us here on Gardenweb as sugarhill. I am sorry to say that Nancy entered the Eternal Garden back in June and we did not know until now. You can read the details of how all this was uncovered in the original thread if you choose. I was just speaking with Barbara (bmalone) and we are both so sad about this, it is made worse by the fact that so much time has past without our knowing. We were trying to think of a good way to remember and honor a wonderful lady. Perhaps some of you may have some thoughts on a way to do so. Nancy was a kind and generous woman who so loved to garden but would be the first to tell people not to expect a 'garden" when they came to her house. She had a great way of keeping it fun and never letting it get to be so much that it became a chore. She didn't mind that much of her yard was untamed shade. She enjoyed what she did and shared generously her plants and her knowledge. I know she has touched many of you as she has me and I wanted to make sure everyone knew we were minus a great "georgia gardener." Rest in peace Nancy. You can finally have that sunny border now.
