Strawberries are mostly sold in Spring in Georgia. The only place I have seen them in fall is from Thyme after Thyme in Winterville GA.
There are usually only a few varities available, we have some ever bearing at Holy C. and they are GOOD, probably the best I've eaten in Georgia and I have no idea what kind they are, we purchased them several years ago. They make several crops a year and will have a small amount for sale in the spring.
In the spring in general, lots of outdoor farmers markets and big box stores will have bunches of bare root strawberries arriving weekly.
