I will trade some new bricks for wood. I also have 500 new bricks on another job I would be willing to trade. Plus I still have the 700 bricks with the 1/2 slice taken off.

If it's in good condition, you might find someone to buy the door or other hardware. From what I've seen on HGTV there's apparently a lot of wealthy people with barn doors inside of their homes! You might take some of the wood to a lumber yard or maybe to the Rockler store to see if they can identify it but I doubt it would get better with age if exposed to the elements.

I built a house yrs ago and searched all around for nice old wood to use on ceilings and floors,it was unbeliveably expensive because there is such a demand for it. I did end up with chestnut wood that had been exposed to the elements for 300yrs and it was beautiful. good luck and hope you have a nice hardwood there

people use old wood like that for picture frames. maybe a frame shop would want some.
also, check the wood for borers before using inside. i offered some i collected to a guy who works with wood and he declined after he saw the tiny holes throughout the boards. said the larvae could possibly spread to other areas composed of wood in a house. forget what kind of insect he said commonly did this. maybe powderpost beetles?

I would sell it yourself that is if you have the time. A while back my brother was looking for an old wood beam for the mantle of his fireplace. He looked at Craig's list and in the paper and found some for sale both ways. Tell them to come out and pick it so no shipping worries.

I wish I had extra money laying around to take some off your hands.
