I found a nice surprise today....

When I thought I'd had all the germination I was going to get from my seeds from Tasmania last year, I potted the seedlings - so many more than I'd expected - and emptied the grit and soil from the seed starting pots at the back of a bed. When doing some winter cleanup (and pulling moss) this afternoon, I found 6 tiny helleborus seedlings in that very unlikely location...they had gone without water last summer and Fall, been completely ignored, but were making a determined showing of about 1" in the middle of a patch of violets...

Wonder what they are...I have no idea which container the seeds came from.
