They are great! I have two and I love them. I've just got to figure out where to store water when it rains and everything is already soaked.

Buford..a cheap way to store water is to buy as many $10.00 plastic 35 gal. garbage cans as you want and a $20.00 sump pump.When the 2 you have are full just pump them out into the garbage cans. I have 6 hidden around bushes. You can dip a watering can into them or now that you have the sump pump you can use that for watering.

That's a good idea. We've been utilizing all of our left over cat litter 'pails' We have about 15 of them now and they store about 4 gallons each. Then we can bring them all over the yard and water what we want. We looked at pumps and will most likely get one.

with all the rain we have had in the past few days i think your barrels should be full by now, lol. great job building them!

Yup, mine are full. And I've used the overflow hose to make sure most parts of my yard get 'watered' equally. Can't store anymore.

BTW, Whole Foods had some sharp looking rain barrels for $99. If you want to put them in the front of the house. We may get 2 more.

Wow, that looks so professional! Does your overflow pipe go to the sewer or septic?

There's a long, black drainage hose attached to the overflow drain. The hose is buried and drains out past our sideyard.

I bought my rain barrels from a small company out of Powder Springs GA called Rain Barrels in Georgia. $99 delivered to my front door and they don't nickel and dime ya! HOA approved! Works great! I'll put the link out there for you guys.
