I'm in Florida but my father has a 3 hibiscus's he keeps every year. Hibiscus like it hot, and will not look as good if not in the right conditions. It should perk up when it gets warmer in your area. Just make sure on warm sunny days it gets as much sun as possible. (at least 4-5 hours, more if possible) It does not require pruning to promote new growth that will come the more sun it gets. Do not prune it all the way to the soil, it will probably kill it.
