Hmm... Munroidendron... That is on native Hawai'ian tree that should be planted and used in horticulture more.

I cannot find a source for one here in San Diego. Any ideas on a mail order source from HI?

It's a protected species if I'm not mistaken. Very rare and hard to obtain.

These trees are available at Home depot in Hawaii and grown for them in Waimanalo.

I have a tree thats about ten feet tall. Its first raceme is forming. I'm hoping I can get some seeds. Many Hawaiian plants are considered rare but are quite common in cultivation.

Some Endangered Plants common in cultivation:
Gardenia brighamii, Munroidendron racemosum, Hibiscus brackenridgei, Achyranthes splendens, Kokia drynarioides, Brighamia insignis, Abutilon menziesii, Sesbania tomoentosa, Pritchardia remota, etc.

It became legal to posess Hawaiian endangered species in 1998.
