There are so many mango trees in the Hilo area, that I was under the impression just about any variety could handle it. Definitly go with a dwarf if you don't have a lot of room. Mangoes get very big very quickly.

Quite dark underneath, too. And rather messy, of course - especially at fruiting time.

Late Brooks
Florigon
Keitt
Fairchild (this one can be maintained at about ~ 9-10 feet high by ~ 10 feet wide with regular pruning)
