Night blooming cactus next three pictures. This cactus has climbed a pine tree and is way at the top. I can't get night pictures because flash doesn't reach that far. I should have topped this thing off at a certain height, but alas. So, these are the morning after views.

Thanks for sharing the pretty pics. I don't know anything about chicory. What does the plant look like?

Good morning everyone ~ Thank you all for looking at the pics and for your kind comments.

carolb ~ I got these seeds in a seed swap last fall in Cottage Gardens. I had no idea if they would grow here or not. Planted some in a pot and was giving up hope of seeing any flowers when the buds appeared then bloomed. There are several stalks of buds now. The flowers only last a day but what a sweet blue they are. Now I have to figure out how to collect the seeds. I'm going to put this in the ground as it is a perennial.

    imatallun ~ Thanks.

butterflyy ~ Thank you. It sure is a wonderful blue. I love the crape. Have just had it a year next month.

Felix ~ Thank you. I thought those were spider lilies. They were growing out by the sidewalk at corner of our property and we dug up the bulbs recently when we redid the fencing on west side of property. I put them in pots for now and was wonderfully surprised to see the bloom stalks come up a few weeks ago. I'll have to find a place for them in the gardens somewhere.

Kathy ~ Thank you. One of these days, you'll be posting pics of your wonderful gardens and flowers. :-)

    Brenda ~ Thank you.

Laura ~ Thanks. I'll go out and take pictures later of the plant.

Thanks again everyone. It is a pleasure to share pics with you all.

Flowerlady, thanks for sharing your pictures. You have lovely flowers, I love spiderlilies. I guess since you are in zone 10 and I am in zone 9, I don't have to wait much longer for my spiderlily (hymenocallis tropical giant) to start blooming.
Here is another 'spiderlily', hymenocallis festalis (Peruvian Daffodil):
