Need compost help

I didn't panic when I found BSF larvae in my compost- which is basically a Rubbermaid lidded garbage can with holes drilled into it. But now I have as much larvae as compost. On the compost forum they seem to indicate my mix is too wet but they are also divided on whether the larvae is a good or bad thing to have.

HELP!

If I spread this mix around will I have a fly infestation? Same if I open the lid to dry the mix out?

It's really starting to freak me out.
