Here are some photos of an area I changed last year. We were tearing down and old fence and putting up a new one. I raised the planting area into different levels now that I had a solid wall to work against. It worked well for me to plan this way - think things through and move plants around on paper. When it actually was warm enough to plant, I already knew what I was going to do. I did this kind of prep in a couple areas. The planing worked well but the plants didn't work out in one sunny spot. There was too much sun so I will move those plants and put in other ones this year. Now that I'm looking back at this, I'm going to start working with some areas for this year.
